Former Ajax star Wim Kieft feels Justin Kluivert needs to leave this summer.
Kieft also believes the winger, who is being linked with and Roma, can succeed beyond the Eredivisie.
"Kluivert's comparison with other talents such as Ricardo Kishna and Anwar El Ghazi is not appropriate," Kieft wrote for De Telegraaf. "With his technique, speed, flair and quality to make goals, Kluivert is someone who has the potential to become a very big player.
"At a club like AS Roma he can take the next steps as a nineteen-year-old."
Kieft also said: "What does Kluivert teach in the Eredivisie, where the level is miserable as we all know and see every week? He is hardly challenged there. At Ajax it is not much better. He is already one of the best at Ajax and training is therefore hardly a challenge for him.
"If there is a club that wants to deposit big money for Kluivert, then Ajax has to grab it and let him leave."
