The Algerian government have entered the row between Riyad Mahrez and Leicester City.
Mahrez finally trained on Friday for the first time since his club rejected Manchester City's £50million deadline-day offer for him.
And Algeria's sports minister El Hadi Ould Ali has now urged him to get back to work.
Ould Ali said: "We hope that Mahrez can sort out his problems quickly, so he can get back to his true level of form.
"The national team is going to need him, what with the qualifiers for the 2019 African Nations Cup around the corner.
"We keenly follow news of all of our players who are based outside Algeria.
"We wish Riyad great success. He remains an exceptional player."
