A COURIER is caught on camera hurling a girl’s Christmas present 20ft over gardens on to a roof.

Dad Jamie Sinfield got a note through his door saying the £107 gift from Next was “in the back garden”.

When he failed to find the parcel he checked CCTV and was shocked to see the man throwing it over two fences onto a neighbour’s extension.

Heathrow baggage handler Jamie, 40, said: “You can see the courier laugh as the idea comes to him. I can only describe it as like a discus throw.

“It shows complete disregard. He didn’t know if I had a pool, or a dog that would chew it.”

Jamie, who ordered the gift for daughter Evie, nine, above, added: “If it hadn’t been for the CCTV it would probably still be up there. I had to leave it for the night and borrow a ladder.

“Fortunately it wasn’t delicate, not that he gave a toss.

“The card said ‘Back garden’. But what it needed to say was, ‘I’ve left it on the roof.’

Footage also shows the courier dumping another box over a neighbour’s fence in West Drayton, Middlesex.

Jamie who lives with wife Tarah, 38, and other kids Harry, six, and Rubie, 12, added: “It’s disgusting, especially in the run-up to Christmas where so many deliveries are for kids.”

In August, The Sun told how a Hermes driver was caught on camera carelessly tossing items into a van in Preston.

Another was filmed throwing a grandad’s garden ornaments into a van, causing them to smash.

Hermes had not replied to a request to comment about Jamie’s parcel last night.
