A 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of Adam Torres.
On Oct. 4, Torres was stabbed outside a pool hall in the 5400 block of Leopard Street.
Torres died Oct. 14. Nueces County Medical Examiner Hugo Stimmler said Torres was stabbed in the chest.
Witnesses told police Oct. 4 that several people were asked to leave the hall after a fight broke out that night. Fights then broke out in the parking lot and Torres was stabbed, according to a news release from the department.
Public Information Officer Gena Pena said police are still trying to identify two more people who were seen on surveillance footage outside the pool hall.
Pena said Michael Scott turned himself in and was arrested Oct. 20. Scott faces charges for murder, she said.
According to Nueces County Court records, Scott plead guilty to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony, in February 2008.
Scott was not in the Nueces County Jail on Friday, according to jail officials.
