Fortnite season 7 is now live. Epic's servers are now back up after routine downtime this morning. The downtime is used to apply the latest patch and test that everything works well before the public release.
Epic started the patch at 9am UK time and finished at XX which is a little longer than Fortnite patches usually take. However this version does add more new features than previous season updates.
Players can now enjoy the update game mode, with Battle Pass holders able to enjoy their own private island where they can create a new arena to battle friends. Known as Creative Mode it's one of the biggest changes to the game in some time.
For players looking forward to the new Creative mode, Epic warned players not to expect everything to work perfectly. The new feature is experimental and it will take some time to iron out the bugs.
The new mode also comes with its own code of conduct, with Epic asking players to be nice to each other. It also urges users not to share personal details with others and not to share account details with anyone else.
The new game mode is, for the time being, restricted to Battle Pass owners. Players who don't have a pass can get one for 950 V-Bucks in the game store (around £8).
